Tracy Radosevic Tells the Good News

Biblical Storyteller Tracy Radosevic brought the lectionary alive, reciting I Samuel 3:1-20, I Corinthians 6:12-20, and John 1:43-51 as though she had just heard the passages herself and was passing on her excitement at the good news. Afterwards, the congregation was invited to discuss what surprised them in hearing the Word brought in this way.
Stories and Songs from Bokamoso

Every year, Seekers Church sponsors a group of young people from the Bokamoso Life Center at Winterveldt, South Africa, to come to the Washington area to tell their storiies and sing in a variety of venues, to raise money for the Center. This week, we heard their stories and songs as the Word of God.

The sermon today is part of my ongoing reflection on what difference it makes to me-and to the world-that I am the inheritor of over 5000 years of a religious tradition that includes the faith and faithlessness of the people of Israel, the prophets that arose to call Israel back to its true vocation, and the birth, life and death of Jesus, who though he died, lives on in this very troubled world.
