Praying for Peace and Justice on November 16, 2025
Heavenly Parent, Teacher, Source of All Wisdom, you have given humans your great gift of creativity. Help us to use it with joy and abandon, while also being mindful that what we create can do harm as well as good, and it’s our responsibility to fix that harm.
This weekend is a weekend of remembrance for all those killed or injured by cars on our roads. We remember Summer Lim and James Anderson, local youth kill this year while walking or biking to or from school, as well as others. We ask for your blessing and healing for grieving families, and for encouragement for our representative, Jamie, and our senator, Chris, who are working legislatively to see this priority reflected in our transportation budget.
May those who make decisions on behalf of our neighborhoods focus on safety, sustainability, and providing options for healthy and active transportation. Help us not wait for tragedy to notice and speak up about dangerous situations, and help us, individually and in our groups, to be focused and attentive to the safety of all as we move about our daily tasks.
In Your name, Amen
