Praying for Peace and Justice on August 23, 2026
Holy One, please open our hearts, and the hearts of our leaders, to the terrible inequities in health care in our country. Most of us in this sanctuary are privileged to enjoy excellent medical services, but that is entirely due to our social standing. Millions of our fellow citizens are denied adequate, affordable health care. Poverty and discrimination are not only tolerated but accepted as normal. In the U.S., health care is not a right for everyone, but a privilege for those who can afford it.
Help us stand up for those who are suffering, and discover what we can say and do to help them, and help our country join the 78 countries across world that offer universal health care.
