Praying for Peace and Justice on April 5, 2026
Holy One,
We pray for the many children who are caught in these various wars, and we ask that you bring an end to the violence.
Children are innocent and need your protection and sheltering. Help them and their families find safe shelters and healing.
Heal the children’s and teens physical and emotional wounds and help them to see a future for themselves. In the name of Jesus. Amen

Good morning, Seekers’ Community: My Peace and Justice Prayer today is for the children and teens who have been experiencing war in their respective countries over the last few months and years.
Just for a moment pretend YOU are a 5-year-old, or 10-year-old or 15-year-old in Gaza, Ukraine, or Iran. How would the loud noises and destruction of bombing your home impact you as you are trying to sleep?
We know from research that children in war zones endure considerable trauma from witnessing violence, suffering displacement from home, being malnourished, having limited medical care. We also know this trauma can lead to permanent and altered brain development.
More specific to the mental health of youngsters, we know that YOU as a child/teen will have a high prevalence of PTSD, depression, chronic anxiety, nightmares, bedwetting and behavioral changes.
So let us pray this morning for the young persons who are experiencing trauma from the violence of war
