Praying for Peace and Justice on April 12, 2026
Oh Holy Mystery,
We come before You with heavy hearts,
Seeing conflict where there should be pace,
Fear where there should be safety,
And division where there should be unity.
Today, we lift up the Middle East and all places torn by war and unrest.
Bring comfort to those who mourn,
Protection to those in danger,
And hope to those who feel forgotten.
Soften hearts hardened by anger,
Guide leaders toward wisdom and humility,
And open paths for dialogue where walls have been built.
Let understanding rise above hatred,
And dignity be restored to every life.
Teach us, too, to be instruments of Your peace —
In our words, our actions, and our choices.
Help us reject indifference,
And choose compassion even when it is difficult.
May justice and peace meet,
May healing begin where wounds run deep,
And may every corner of the world
Know the quiet strength of reconciliation.
Let peace take root — not just for today,
But for generations to come.
