The gallery on the street level of Seekers Church is one way we encourage artistic creativity. Beginning on October 4th the Seekers Gallery will be showing an exhibit of woodblock prints and intaglio by Lauren Seat.
Seekers and Little Friends for Peace held a one day Peace Camp at the church this summer. The simple notion that the way to bring peace to the world is to teach the lessons that Jesus taught us to our children was our starting point.
How does one raise Guatemala from the corrupt politics and poverty that has been endemic for so long? This question has occupied Jorge Chojolan all his life. His answer: create a school that educates children in democracy, human rights, and social justice and prepares them to be the future leaders of Guatemala. The Miguel Angel Asturias Academy, founded in 1994, is that school. Seekers has been an early and sustained supporter of the School.
