CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: Restoring Hope, you call us home.
People: We expend our hope in service.
Leader: Your signs are all around us.
People: You leave us a bread crumb trail back to the path you’ve laid out for us.
Leader: Restoring Hope, you renew us.
All: We are filled with restoring hope.
WORD FOR THE CHILDREN
Leader: We reach for hope that frees us for God’s call.
Voice 1: My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ love.
Voice 2: When shadows fall, I rest on God’s unchanging grace.
Leader: We welcome the restoring hope of Christ, bread for the journey of faith.
Voice 1: The love of Christ supports us in the rising flood of doubt.
Voice 2: My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ love.
All: We reach for hope that frees us for God’s call.
Leader: Life is baffling … fear filled … crazy … devilish
People: Life is grueling … nerve-wracking … out of control
Leader: We close our eyes and lock up our hearts
All: Unwilling to bear the suffering of others or our own.
INDIVIDUAL PRAYERS OF CONFESSION
Leader: Out of the muddle of our lives,
the Holy One clears our eyes and opens our hearts
restoring hope to all the world.
PRAYERS OF THANKSGIVING AND INTERCESSION
All: Our Father-Mother in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom,
the power and the glory are yours,
now and for ever. Amen.
SHARED REFLECTIONS ANNOUNCEMENTS
