Praying for Peace and Justice on August 10, 2025
Let us pray:
Dear God of all believers, and non-believers and all who are not sure,
Please give justice and safety to all men, women, and to those who are not sure of their gender identity, and to those who do not feel comfortable with checking one box.
Please give those of us who grew up in times when two choices for everything seemed comfortable the flexibility to allow others to change and grow—and to not feel it is cramping our own choices, but opening the possibilities for others.
Please give a desire for peace to those who try to stamp out controversial discussions by stomping out the identity of others.
Please help legislators who make hateful statements feel your hand of peace, and give those who are harmed by laws which prevent employment, obtaining passports and gaining healthcare your love and support as they fight against injustice.
In Jesus’ name I pray.
