Who We Are
Seekers Church is a diverse, progressive, and affirming family of faith working for peace and justice. Our youngest member is a toddler, our oldest is over 90. We are a Christian church whose members’ spirituality and theology range broadly. We host a different speaker in the pulpit each week, usually from within our congregation. Women and men share equally in all aspects of service and leadership, from preaching and teaching to making coffee and maintaining our building. We celebrate and welcome people of all races, sexual orientations, gender identities, beliefs, and cultures to full participation in the church’s community life, rituals, and leadership.
At Seekers Church…
We believe God calls each person to a place of need in the world. Young or old, regardless of experience, skills, or education, despite our past successes or failures, God calls each of us to a life of love and service. This call may take root in workplace, community, family, or nature. We may be called to art or advocacy, law or homemaking, building relationships, or deconstructing oppression. The call is always bigger than we are, but as we find support from each other in our spiritual journeys, we can dare to say “Yes!” to impossible undertakings, to fully imagining and living our unique and precious lives.
At the heart of the Seekers community are small, committed groups that support the life and goals of the church and each participant. In these groups, members share more intimately their joys and struggles, practice common spiritual disciplines, and find spiritual accountability. These hallmarks of Seekers’ life together are part of our tradition from Church of the Saviour.
Seekers Church opposes White supremacy and racism. We acknowledge and confront the difficult history of white supremacy and racism that we and other Christian churches have perpetuated. We seek to dismantle white supremacy and systemic racism in ourselves, in our faith community, in our nation and in our world, by better aligning our words and actions to the hopes and teachings of Jesus. Our Racial and Ethnic Justice Ministry Team supports a number of exciting community initiatives. (Click here for more detail.)

Join us for worship on Sundays at 9:30.
