Spring 2002 Session

The School of Christian Living is a way to explore your faith journey in the company of other pilgrims.  You can expect weekly reading and written assignments, prayerful connection with others in the class and a chance to experience some important aspects of mission group life.

We invite you to come at 7pm for a delicious dinner provided by The Potter's House ($3/week) and a meditation to center us for classes, which begin at 8pm (to 9:30pm).

From Death to Life in the Face of Mortality: Things We Can't Change; Things We Can

10 weeks (Feb 5-April 9) - Led by Rob Benson & Marjory Bankson

This class will invite us to think, feel, & pray our ways into, and through, a deeper recognition of our (and our loved ones') finite
embodied-ness, toward greater wholeness and freedom to live more abundantly. We'll also look at the ways our communities and our cultures stifle or promote such resurrection living, and we'll discern how we each might catalyze similar growth for our families, institutions, and societies. (Christian Growth)

Under the Tree of Life: The Religion of a Feminist Christian

12 Weeks (Feb 5-April 23) - Led by David Lloyd & Deborah Sokolove

Using Gail Ramshaw's book, Under the Tree of Life, the class will revisit some of the perennial questions of Christian doctirne such as the nature of the Trinity; the goodness and power of God; sin, salvation and grace; sacraments; the relationship of Christianity to other religions; and the church as a Body of Christ. Copies of the book are available for $17.95 from Deborah. (Christian Doctrine)

Sign up after worship on Sunday, leave your class choice on the Bankson' s phone or if you live in the Washington DC area, please Write us ,.
