At the request of Jerry Kuester, who is organizing art sessions in conjunction with his own ministry to incarcerated Native Americans, the Artists Group will present "Holy Play," a series of three workshops on art as a doorway to the spirit. Any and all interested participants are invited to take part in one, two or all of the brown bag sessions on three consecutive Tuesday nights beginning January 15.

January 15 Playing with Colors…Find that creative place in you that loves to play, then with some guidance explore different ways of using paints and brushes. Emphasis is on the process rather than the product. Led by Jean Adams, Jane Engle, and Liz Vail.

January 22 Creating Theatre from the Broken Places…We’ll do some improvisational work, creating scenes and songs from the broken places in our lives. We'll also create a group poem/improvisation/chant around JOY in our lives. Led by Roy Barber

January 29 Whole Body Poetry… According to poet-professor Donald Hall, "A poem exists in the whole body"—in the mouth, where the sounds touch each other, in the leg that dances the rhythm. Working with imagery and the senses, we'll play with words to get behind the question of what a poem means. Led by Alan Dragoo, Muriel Lipp, and Kathy Tobias.
