Homemakers Archive

This "Homemakers" page is concerned with history of the process of shaping the direction of the space that Seekers Church will occupy in years to come. As both an archive, it indexes pages that date from our initial decision to search for a new home, to the present. Much of the information is no longer current. Our Carroll St page gives the general background and address of our new location.

Carroll St. Teams
In March 2000, we formed ten teams of Seekers to help plan and coordinate our efforts to make our home on Carroll Street. Each team has assumed responsibility for supporting some part of our community life during the move.

Discussion Paper of April 1997 by Ron Arms: An Open Letter to the Seekers Faith Community
While it is not clear how the community will make decisions in the future, or what its decision will be this time, we have been encouraged to participate. As the May 4, 1997 core members' meeting draws near, I want to express my thoughts and feelings on the issue of space.
Stewardship and a New Home for Seekers
This paper is an offering of the Homemakers Mission Group and is based on our work and Prayer. It is aimed at helping people prepare to respond to a questionnaire on stewardship as it relates to the need for Seekers to move.

We are often asked where we got our chairs (which are made from recycled seatbelts and plywood).
